KELLY PENICK

Kelly graduated Cum Laude from Virginia Tech with a Bachelors of Architecture and completed the European Travel Program, where she ventured through ten different countries, studying the complex and fragile intersection of culture and architectural nuance.

She was a finalist in the Chesapeake Bay Foundation Competition in 2011, and was awarded the House and House Travel Scholarship.

Kelly has worked across the country in award winning firms in Richmond, Chicago, and Denver. Somehow, she has managed to find time to volunteer, and has done so in a variety of settings, including at a Museum in Virginia where she taught art and design to middle school students.

She has a golden retriever, Rita, but that is the abbreviated version of her name, which is actually Da’Rita Velveeta Lucille. You can ask Kelly about that, but I will tell you she was a bit permissive in giving out the dog’s naming rights.
